Anna, a fourth-year medical student at West Virginia University School of Medicine, was selected for her compelling work innovating changes and promoting inclusivity in medical school curricula. As a fourth-year medical student, I am eager to complete my medical degree in May 2026 and advance toward my goal of becoming a pediatrician. 2024 Future Innovators Scholarship Recipients
Tovel Young, II
Tovel, a high school Senior from Maryland, was selected for his remarkable passion for nanosatellites and innovative contributions to the field. His work on a CubeSat during an internship at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center showcased his dedication and exceptional skills in aerospace technology.
In the upcoming Fall, I will be attending Pennsylvania State University or Howard University, where I will be majoring in atmospheric science, with the ultimate goal of becoming a research meteorologist. This award will be used to pay off books and fees for the fall and spring semesters. Thank you again for this award.
Jesse Pepper
Jesse, a Senior at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, received this scholarship in recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic excellence and passion for innovative problem-solving. Pursuing an ambitious dual-degree in Engineering Physics and Philosophy with a Minor in Economics, Jesse exemplifies a commitment to learning and creativity. His hands-on experience at the university’s makerspace showcases his ability to transform ideas into impactful solutions.

Kori Henderson
Kori is from Chicago, Illinois and is a nursing student at Howard University, Class of 2028. She is an aspiring pediatric nurse.

Eirene Fithian
Eirene is from Brooklyn, New York. She attended Northwestern University for her undergraduate degree where she studied Science in Human Culture and Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. Eirene is now attending medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College and plans to pursue a career in academic medicine.

Jessica is from Long Island, New York, and has grown up and lived her whole life on the North Fork. Jessica is a junior at Cornell University studying Biological Sciences with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology. She is planning on going to graduate school after her undergrad is finished.

Mary Catherine Cook
Incoming Harvard Law School student Mary Catherine Cook is the recipient of The Kryder Law Group, LLC Community Leadership Scholarship. Cook is an outstanding example of leadership and dedication to both her local and national communities. In her winning essay, Cook detailed her thoughts on the most important aspects of a true leader.
Mary Catherine Cook’s experiences have taught her that leaders should demonstrate “a service-driven heart, humble intelligence, and integrity,” she wrote. Through her schooling at Vanderbilt University, her extensive volunteer work during Alternative Spring Break and helping neighbors through COVID-19, and internships, she has achieved all those qualities.

Charles Graham Jr.
Charles Graham Jr., 31, of Houston, Texas, is the Kryder Law Group First-Generation College Scholarship winner. Mr. Graham is a law student at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Southern Texas University. His powerful essay illuminates his diligence and the profound commitment needed to become the first person in his family to graduate from college.
His essay weaves a tale of how lessons learned working for his father’s business, Graham Shoe Repair in Houston, helped him achieve academic and personal success.
“The process for shining shoes is simple: clean, polish, and wax. You will not see this job on my resumé,” he wrote. “However, it was the first job I ever had. Through it, I learned many of the values that prepared me for the challenges of being a first-generation college student.”
